Roger is a certified Level 2 instructor with over 40 years of teaching experience to the courts.
Roger began his pickleball journey in 2020 when a curling friend persuaded him to give pickleball a try. Since then, he has consistently placed on the podium at the BC 55+ Games, winning gold with partner Barb Bradford in 2023.
Roger is “your favourite teacher’s favourite teacher”; he is Professor Emeritus at the University of Alberta, where he worked helping instructors become better teachers.
Having taught over 20 pickleball classes last year alone, Roger looks forward to continuing to coach, with the intent of helping students continue on their pickleball journeys.
