I’ve played other racquet sports. How do I know where to start?
That’s great! If you have experience with sports like tennis, squash, or badminton, you’ll likely pick up pickleball quickly. We still suggest taking a few lessons to learn the specific rules and nuances of pickleball. While your racquet skills will transfer, developing pickleball-specific techniques takes time. If you already know the rules, feel free to join our beginner to 3.0 Open Plays to gauge your skill level and connect with others.
How can I find other players to play with?
Connecting with other players is simple! You can join our WhatsApp community or our Facebook group, “VPC Player Connect.” These are great ways to find partners and join games.

Why is it called the kitchen in pickleball?
The non-volley zone in pickleball, commonly referred to as the “kitchen,” is believed to have gotten its name from shuffleboard, where a similar area is also called the kitchen and carries a penalty.
